Sustainability at work
DUVILLA is not only promoting sustainability in its advisory services, but also works in a sustainable way as a company. Practically, this means the following:
Sustainable Transport
- Use of bicycles is stimulated to commute between home and work.
- Use of public transport is stimulated for meetings outside Amsterdam or for visitors of DUVILLA’s centrally located office.
- Since 2009, DUVILLA makes use of the OV-fiets, a bicycle rental system at train stations in the Netherlands.
Sustainable Office
- DUVILLA is located in business incubator building PanamaPaar in Amsterdam, which is built in an energy-efficient way. Office lighting is based on a motion detector, and switches off automatically after leaving the office. There is a natural climate control system (no air-conditioning). There are central kitchen and sanitary facilities and a waste recycling system.
- DUVILLA is making use of products with a sustainability label, such as coffee beans with Fair Trade or Utz Certified label, and printing paper with FSC label.
Corporate Social Responsibility
- All projects that DUVILLA is involved in are making a positive contribution to sustainable development, and are not harmful to people and the environment. This is a basic condition for accepting any assignments.
- DUVILLA is convinced that sustainable development starts on a local level. Therefore, in all its projects DUVILLA contributes to local capacity development of the client’s partners, stakeholders and communities within the scope of the assignment to guarantee the sustainability of the intervention.
